Hampshire Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for a student’s bicycle that was
stolen from Barton Peveril on Friday 7th October.
The Chris Boardman bike, (see above) is very distinctive and has been security tagged. This is an expensive item and the thieves will want to pass this on very quickly as it stands out like a sore thumb.
If you are offered a Chris Boardman bike, at what seems like a barging price, please have a heart and think of the poor lad that is now walking to college as a result of having his bike lifted by some nasty crook and report it to Hampshire Police on 101 or Hants Crimestoppers on 0800 500111. You do not have to give your details to Crimestoppers, and you will be rewarded with the knowledge that you could help this lad get back what is rightfully his property.
Please don’t let the thieving bastards get away with this, we must all stand together and make sure that local crime does not pay. It destroys lives and alienates communities.
It’s time to take a stand and look out for each other.
